What is Headlight?

Headlight is our online customer research community. It gives Motability Scheme customers the opportunity to tell us about their experiences and share their views on different aspects of the Scheme.

Currently, more than 5,000 customers are already part of the community.

Members can be invited to take part in surveys, discussion boards, focus groups and interviews. The activities and topics vary, so there are different opportunities to share your experiences and tell us what matters to you.

Headlight also gives us the opportunity to involve customers when we are exploring new ideas or considering potential improvements. Hearing directly from customers helps us understand their experiences rather than making assumptions about what they need.

Why take part?

Our customers experience the Motability Scheme first-hand, so their feedback can help us understand what is working well and where things could be better.

Headlight gives you another way to share that experience with us. Depending on the research, you might be asked about something you already use, an issue affecting customers or an idea we are considering for the future.

By hearing from customers early and regularly, we can better understand different needs and experiences, identify potential issues and use what we learn to help shape future improvements.

To take part, you must be at least 18 years old and register with the email address linked to your Motability Scheme online account.

What happens to your feedback?

What you tell us through Headlight is considered alongside feedback and research from other sources.

This insight can help us understand customer needs, explore an issue in more detail, test new ideas and make more informed decisions about the Motability Scheme.

It can also help us identify potential issues before they become bigger problems and make sure we consider real customer experiences when developing products, services and communications.

Taking part does not mean every suggestion will lead to a change. There can be different things we need to consider, and Headlight is one of the ways we can gather customer feedback.

What topics do we talk about?

Headlight covers a wide range of subjects connected to the Motability Scheme.

Recent research has explored topics including annual mileage limits, electric vehicles, digital services, affordability and the future direction of the Motability Scheme.

Future topics will vary too. This means members can have opportunities to talk about their current experiences as well as ideas and changes we are considering for the future.

How can you get involved?

We’re expanding Headlight and looking for more Motability Scheme customers to share their experience.

By registering your interest, you’ll have the opportunity to take part in research and share your views on different aspects of the Motability Scheme.

It takes just two minutes to register your interest.
