We’re excited to announce our new app: Go with the Motability Scheme!
Called Go for short, the app gives you access to over 65,000 public chargepoints from over 70 different operators across the UK.
You can find and pay for public chargepoints either directly through the app or by ordering a Go Charge card.
As part of the launch, we’ll be moving away from our current Go Charge app. All of the great charging features will now be available in Go. Plus, we’ve added almost 10,000 more chargepoints across the UK. Giving you even more choice without needing to pay for a subscription or authorisation fees.

What can I do in Go?
There’s lots of handy features in Go:
- Find chargepoints quickly: Use interactive maps to discover charging locations and get directions
- Filter by connecter type and speed: See only the chargepoints that work best for your car
- Charge without any extra costs: Access thousands of chargepoints in one place with no subscription or authorisation fees
- Check live availability: Know which chargepoints are available before you arrive
- Track your charging session: Monitor progress while your car charges
- Start, stop and pay seamlessly: Take full control of your charging experience in the app
- Manage your Go Charge card: Re-order, freeze and unfreeze whenever you need
- Get support in the app: Use our app webchat to connect with our team
And this is just the beginning. We’ll be adding more features to our app over time.
How do I download Go?
Go is available in your app store and you can download the app here. You’ll need to log in using your Motability Scheme online account details.

Why is Go Charge moving?
We’ve taken everything you liked about Go Charge and made it even better. We’ve added more chargepoints and made it smarter and easier to use.
Go with the Motability Scheme will continue to grow. And this means you’ll have the latest tools and support for charging on the go.
Will my current Go Charge card work?
No. If you’re using our current Go Charge app and card, you’ll need to download our new app and order a new card. When you download the new Go app, you’ll be able to set up your payment details and order a new card. You can charge your car directly using the app whilst you wait for your new card to arrive.
From 30 November, your existing Go Charge card will stop working. To remove your details from the current app, simply delete it from your device. Your details will be permanently deleted when we shut down the app.
