What’s changing in the UK automotive market?

You might notice that some Advance Payments (APs) have changed. This is because of ongoing changes in the automotive market, such as rising costs for raw materials and labour.

Despite these challenges, the Motability Scheme still offers great value. Our all-inclusive lease package covers everything you need in one place, including insurance, breakdown cover, MOTs, and tyre repair.

We work closely with manufacturers and update our prices every three months. This allows us to respond quickly to market changes and ensure you have access to the most up-to-date options and prices.

Our video tells you more about what changes are happening, and what it means for you.

The large WAV is the biggest option and can fit large or heavy wheelchairs, as well as having more space for additional equipment or extra seats. Here is a selection of large WAVs currently on the Scheme.

Could a car with adaptations be right for you

Did you know we offer a range of adaptations on our cars? This could be to help you drive, get in and out, or store your equipment. For some people, an adapted car can be a better option than a Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV).

If you’re unsure which might suit you best, take a look at what’s available and explore your options.

Need adaptations to make your WAV work better for you?

Speak to your dealer. They may be able to convert your chosen vehicle into a Drive From WAV, if that’s a better fit for your needs.

Our next price list will be available from 1 January 2026.

The Advance Payment for some eWAVs could change due to the introduction of the new government electric car grant. Read more here.

Interested in joining the Scheme?

We believe everyone should have the freedom to move. That’s why you can use your qualifying mobility allowance to lease a WAV on the Motability Scheme.

To get started, use our tool to check you are eligible. When you’re ready, speak to a supplier to try out a few vehicles. They’ll come to you, and they’ll help you order once you’ve chosen.
