Dr Radha Modgil is passionate about how small and tangible, yet powerful, daily actions can support us to feel better mentally and emotionally. Research shows that getting out and about is vital to our mental health and wellbeing. In fact, Natural England advise that we each spend at least two hours a week outside in fresh air.

This ninth edition of the Guide highlights venues that have gone the extra mile to make themselves accessible. Encouraging people to discover the best parts of the UK, the detailed reviews in the Guide are designed to empower anyone with a physical, mental health or cognitive condition to enjoy an accessible day out.

The Guide is filled with inspiration and practical advice to help plan days out. There’s something for everyone to enjoy, with wide ranging venues and attractions reviewed such as: parks and beaches, museums and galleries, theme parks and adrenaline-fuelled experiences, as well as town reviews and ideas for scenic drives around some of the most beautiful parts of the country.

The Rough Guide to Accessible Britain has been created in partnership with Motability Operations Ltd. Packed with over 200 reviews of attractions across the UK, the Rough Guide to Accessible Britain is an ideal planning tool to enjoy an inclusive day out.
