Barbara is studying medicine and uses her Motability Scheme car to get her to and from university. Before the Scheme, Barbara would have to set off at half past six in the morning and take two buses in order to make her nine o’clock lectures; now she can get to university in just half an hour: ‘There’s no way I’d be able to do the course without my car…it’s like a member of my family.’
