Today we have announced some news on the insurance provider for the Motability Scheme, which means that in 18 months time, the Direct Line Group will take over from the current supplier, RSA.
There will be no impact on customers or change to the cover provided under the Scheme.
Customers should continue to contact RSA regarding all insurance related queries, including any new insurance claims, updates on existing claims and changes to named drivers.
I need to make an insurance claim, what should I do?
RSA will continue to provide insurance to the Motability Scheme for around 18 months so you should continue to contact RSA for any new claims, either by calling 0300 037 3737 or by registering a new claim online.
I have an ongoing insurance claim with RSA, what will happen with this claim?
RSA will continue to manage your insurance claim, so there is no change. Please continue to speak to RSA directly for any updates on your claim.
I need to change one of my named drivers, what should I do?
There is no change to the process for changing named drivers, RSA will continue to make these changes to your policy.
I lease scooter and powered wheelchair, will my insurance change to the new supplier?
In line with the timescales outlined above, the Direct Line Group will also be providing insurance cover to scooter and powered wheelchair customers. Please continue to contact RSA about any new or ongoing insurance claims on 0300 037 3737. You can also register a new claim online.
I am leaving the Scheme and want to tell my new insurer about my claims history. Who should I contact?
Please contact RSA who will provide you with a claims history letter for you, or a named driver.
